Purpose                                                                

The Cyber Security Analyst is a technically proficient business oriented information security leader with broad experience in all the core areas of information security.  As a security analyst, you will be responsible for working closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, architects, business analysts and business partners to identify, respond, mitigate and implement a comprehensive Cyber Security and Risk Program. This will involve working closely with individual teams and members to implement, test, assign, and assess security features.  The focus will be working with the continuous integration pipeline, database and network upgrades, troubleshooting, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally across Cyber Security and Technology to foster innovation and strengthen security posture to support Reece Business Objectives
  • Participate in desk top Simulation, Detection and Automation exercises
  • Represent Cyber Security as a partner in projects and initiatives through inception, design, and completion
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to provide governance, requirements, and expectations for security designs and patterns
  • Seek opportunities to Simulate, Detect and Automate processes, maintain documentation and own relevant metrics
  • Identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses and communicate them
  • Support existing capabilities facilitating security posture improvement objectives
  • Create and deliver presentations related to security related tasks, including the assessment, design, and implementation of a variety of enterprise security prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
  • Coach, develop, communicate and evangelize Cyber Security with all members of the organization
  • Establish goals and evaluate risk and compliance with business partners
  • Ability to prioritize and drive results based on business value to the organization
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to both Senior Leadership and highly technical personnel
  • Passionate about building and developing good security practices and processes
  • Experience working in an agile/lean environment
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security Principles, and implementation

Key COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Fundamental understanding of application, network, & cloud security services
  • Understanding of encryption standards and key management systems
  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts
  • Understanding of Security Orchestration Automation Response techniques
  • Experience with SIEMs, including dashboard and report generation and analysis
  • Experience with analyzing network and host logs to identify outliers and anomalies
  • Knowledge of offensive and defensive host and network security techniques
  • Knowledge of common network and host security technologies and Cyber threat intelligence processes

Minimum Qualifications                              

  • Bachelors degree
  • Fundamental understanding of application, network, & cloud security services

Preferred Qualifications                       

  • Bachelors degree in Cyber Security or other technical area
  • 2+ years of experience in information security
  • 2+ years of experience working with incident response, security operations, or Cyber security teams
  • Experience with NIST 800-53, ISO, HIPAA, PCI
