OVERVIEW                                                                                     

Come join the Reece Enterprise Reporting & Analytics team as a Data Engineer to support basic to complex data structures and strategic decisions, and support applications used to identify and advance key performance improvement initiatives to meet the analytic needs of the organization. We’re seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer for a key role in maintaining and developing data pipelines for enterprise reporting and analytics. This role will also involve automating data analytics, which can have a huge business impact. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                              

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals.
  • Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Communicate effectively – while working closely with Delivery Lead, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to understand, define, prototype, publish and maintain data analytics and reports.

Minimum Qualifications                                                 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or/and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc.
  • Mix technical skills (SQL) Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, Snowflake, Analytics+Reporting Services, R, Python, and others
  • Be detail/solution-oriented – and pay close attention to workflows and outcomes, and collaborate with internal departments, external organizations, and other developers and engineers to refine our suite of analytics products.
  • Be a sprinter – while applying agile software development principles to daily work (including JIRA and Github.)

  • Attendance – Ability to maintain the scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location as specified.
  • Physical Capacities – Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion, sitting and standing for extended periods.
  • Operation of Office Equipment — Job requires operation of equipment common to office settings, including computers, copiers, and other office equipment, including Near Vision, Manual Dexterity, and working in proximity to equipment.
