Lead and manage the Kitchen & Bath Codes and Standards function to enable business opportunities while creating a strategic business advantage by aligning goals with functional strategic plans to guarantee product compliance with global regulations and standards globally, with continuing research, monitoring and adoption of industry global regulatory requirements and management of product lines certifications and listings.
Lead and manage regulatory product compliance for Kohler Kitchen and Bath products globally.
Lead and manage code compliance for Kohler Kitchen and Bath products globally.
Lead and manage performance and safety standards for Kohler Kitchen and Bath products globally.
Lead and manage safety certifications and ratings for Kohler Kitchen and Bath products globally.
Initiate and support effective strategies for global approvals and product development, and recommend such strategies to the Project Leaders, Team Members, and/or department Vice President, to align as appropriate.
Ensure regulatory submissions are complete, properly formatted, and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
Oversee the identification, tracking, application, and interpretation of regulatory risk factors impacting the business.
Partner with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Marketing/Branding, Quality, Sales and Operations teams.
Proactively pursue, understand, and apply regulatory guidance from internal and external sources, and maintain a focus on compliance as the highest priority.
Coordinate and negotiate with external agencies and associations as appropriate.
Represent Kohler Co. at industry association meetings and provide direction on technical issues to their staff.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to support business strategies, negotiations, and partnerships.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Master’s Degree in relevant field (optional)
10+ years of experience in product compliance, including leadership roles
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage global, cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Experience leading functional strategic programs
Able to effectively assess and mitigate risk
Strategic thinker able to develop and lead strategic functional plans
Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to internal and external stakeholders
Awareness of the global impact of codes, standards, and regulations
