A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

As an Inside Sales Representative, you play an essential role in maintaining stellar customer and vendor relationships to help our business thrive. When customers contact us about our products, you develop accurate quotations, including product specifications, lead times, pricing, expiration dates, tagging, packaging, and logistics. You document all orders we receive by eCommerce, phone, email, fax, and in person. Using your exceptional customer service skills, you provide prompt, accurate responses to calls and emails involving new transactions and existing customer accounts.

In addition, you maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturer representatives to streamline order processing. To keep track of order statuses and customer requirements, you consistently review our queue and ensure information is kept accurate. You handle expedited orders to make sure they are fulfilled promptly and delivery dates are processed. Anytime a product or material is returned, you take care of the required paperwork in a timely manner and issue credits to customers in accordance with our policies.

You take great care to educate yourself on all company products to help customers make well-informed decisions. Frequently, you find yourself using our customer relationship management (CRM) tool and other software, which is why you consistently educate yourself on new updates or procedures. You stay informed on active marketing programs to provide accurate responses to customer inquiries. The job can often be fast-paced, but you are always up for the challenge. You enjoy having a job that uses your strong customer service and business skills to help others, which is why you excel in this position in wholesale distribution selling commercial plumbing products!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time business position in wholesale distribution works a typical schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday with overtime as needed.
