Leadership:

  • Lead and direct activities for 6-8 team members
  • Fosters a culture of learning that empowers team members growth and development
  • Ensures all team members are aware, trained on and consistently following department SOPs
  • Interviews, hires, and onboards new team members
  • Performs monthly AR reviews for team members and provide guidance for next steps
  • Intercedes in difficult credit/collection situations and addresses escalated customer issues as required
  • Manages team members daily duties, attendance, performance

Operations:

  • Performs complex analysis and interpret information received from corporate financial statements, D&B, NACM and other credit services to establish unsecured and secured credit extension within levels of authority
  • Approve and apply unsecured shop limits within assigned authority
  • Approve and apply job limits within assigned authority
  • Leads monthly calls with Regional Vice President and Sales Managers
  • Perform underwriting analysis on GC’s/owners, sureties, and other pertinent parties for new jobs
  • Delivers monthly/quarterly and annual metrics, goals and initiatives
  • Protects collectability of AR by ensuring all lien/bond filing and notices are done timely
  • Initiates legal and third-party collections activity when necessary, builds relationships with attorneys, approves all associated expenses
  • Recommends bad debt write offs, reserves
  • Communicates changes in process to all appropriate field sales levels, gathering input as needed
  • Visits customers and branches as needed which will include some limited travel
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • High degree of organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:                                       

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • previous experience leading a Credit team
  • Ability and willingness to travel (15%)
  • Experience with construction related credit (lein and bond experience)

Preferred Qualifications:                                                 

  • Experience in distribution
  • Experience with Mincron, Eclipse and GetPaid a plus
