Job Description:

The Enterprise Architect of Digital Channels & Experience works with business stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Employee Experience, and technology VPs to develop a technology strategy & architecture for Customers & Employee channels and work with all levels of management to support the successful execution of that strategy. The Digital Channels EA sets and maintains the holistic architectural vision for the Customer & Employee Experience based on the business strategy and works with technology leads to define the activities to drive the optimal architecture to achieve the business strategy. The Digital Channels CX/UX architect acts as a liaison between Business Stakeholders, Senior Leadership, and IT senior management to ensure effective alignment across the enterprise. The Digital Channels EA collects business objectives, generates technical roadmaps, strategies, and solution options, and provides recommendations that are applicable across the entire business. The Digital Channels EA working with Portfolio leadership and IT leadership drives the delivery of Customer & Employee experience capabilities & solutions.

Job Duties:

  • Work with key Business stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and individual Branch Divisions to help reach enterprise architecture decisions to support business goals.
  • Ensure alignment of the Customer & Employee Experience strategy and planning with the company’s business goals, assuming strategic architecture responsibility for our e-commerce platforms, user mobile applications, and other digital, user-facing channels.
  • Create digital channels and user experience capability models and roadmaps in support of business strategies balancing short- and long-term goals.
  • Develop multiyear capability and experience roadmaps and align capability models to technology roadmaps to realize business strategies.
  • Develop current and future state architecture for various channels within the Customer & Employee experience domains
  • Collaborate with other architects to develop common Enterprise Architecture directives when business needs overlap such as Finance, Sales, Product, Orders, and Branch Experience.
  • Perform industry and technology research & evaluation, writing point of view (POV), and sharing perspectives on a technology’s suitability for Reece USA.
  • Establish standards & principles and the governance frameworks.
  • Provide technical consultation, meeting with colleagues to provide technical expertise and perspective.
  • Build employee knowledge and skills around mobile, digital, web, and POS technologies and best practices.
  • Participate in the development of policies, standards, principles, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of Customer & Employee Experience tools and technologies within the enterprise.
  • Work with Technical Leads and Solution Architects (SAs) to ensure solutions are scalable, adaptable, and aligned with changing business needs.
  • Promote concepts of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flow.
  • Ensure adequate risk management of IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies.
  • Drive holistic strategy for the technical Customer & Employee experience strategy across multiple business divisions and business functions.
  • Maintain and rationalize digital channels architectural landscape as part of the overall Reece USA systems landscape
  • Work with execution and delivery teams to drive the realization of the Customer & Employee experience architecture Roadmap.

Qualifications & Education
 

  • 15+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in leading architecture for enterprise systems and applications, including driving vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Experience in developing cost-effective, highly scalable, and available secure enterprise ERP, Inventory, Pricing, and/or Warehouse solutions on a national scale
  • Knowledge of Point of Sales, E-commerce, and other channel capabilities and patterns.
  • Strong Business process knowledge in Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Wholesale.
  • Deep hands-on Functional and Technical experience in multiple digital technologies: mobile, cloud development, UX design, service design.
  • AWS or Azure experience is a plus.
  • Full lifecycle service and application development experience.
  • Experience in technology migration & modernization efforts: ex: Monolith to Microservices; On-Prem to Cloud; System & Service Decomposition; Strategic Domain-Driven Design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise applications, suites, and platforms
  • Experienced with application lifecycle management processes (SDLC etc)
  • Experience in Financial planning, portfolio planning, business analysis, and TCO models
  • Knowledge of IT governance and operations
  • Project/Program management experience
  • Expert communication skills, written & spoken with ability to speak to all levels of the company: C-Suite to Individual Operators and Engineers
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation across teams
