The Reece Digital Solution is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work in the Delivery Team who will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing and supporting the data needs for Digital Commerce and Warehouse Management Mobile Applications.  This senior data engineer role and responsibilities include proactive identification and development of process improvements, data flow efficiencies, and contribute the program toward cloud based, operational sourcing (deep SnowFlake migration experience). This role will collaborate in strategic implementation of cloud solutions and movement toward more real-time data processing. We are looking for deep, hands-on data and analytics experience as well as in-depth data environment knowledge. Data Engineers deliver quality reporting and data intelligence solutions to the organization and assist client teams with drawing insights to make informed, data driven decisions. Data Engineers (DEs) are engaged in all phases of the data management lifecycle; gather and analyze requirements, collect, process, store and secure, use, share and communicate, archive, reuse and repurpose data. Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensure these risks are effectively identified and escalated to be measured, monitored and controlled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                           


  • Participate is Scrum ceremonies.
  • Designs, builds and manages data pipelines for data structures that encompass data transformation, data models, schemas, metadata, data quality, and workload management.
  • Creates data pipelines, extracting data from our various applications (internal & external sources) into the Data Platform.
  • Proactively identifies and re-engineer’s data processes to improve overall efficiency and business value.
  • Contributes to implement efficient defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution processes.
  • Builds processes that support effective data management, metadata management, and good data quality.

Minimum Qualifications                                               

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related STEM.
  • 5 years of data engineering, data analysis or software development experience implementing data solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and the technical ability to acquire, transform and interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple, diverse stakeholders across business areas and leadership levels
  • Up-to-date expertise in data engineering practices. Ability to provide solutions for the identification, acquisition, cleansing, profiling, and ETL (extracting, transformation, and loading) solutions
  • Experience working on multiple projects leveraging the agile methodology in delivering data.
  • Extensive Experience in SQL and Relational Databases.
  • Extensive Experience with AWS Lambda and various AWS storage and database like RDS, S3, Postgres, Aurora 
  • 2+ years of Snowflake experience
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
  • 1+ years of experience with DevOps tools GitHub, Circle CI
  • 1+ Years of experience with Terraform
  • 1+ Years of experience with Node.js
